JM: How often could you receive visitors? Ron: Every Saturday for 30 minutes. Above the block
there were 2 stair rails and at the top there was
a glass partition. There was a desk and a chair
on each side of the glass for the visitor and the
inmate to sit in. Candice: Most people receive vusits at least once a week but some
don't receive visits at alk Cliff: i think it was once a week im not sure but i did
at least get that
JM: Was the check-in process lengthy for those who came to see you? Ron: I don't know. I think they had to be shook down
and have a drivers license. Candice: You call ahead to schedule an appointment and then you have
to be on time and bring your identification and get checke in
to visit Cliff: don't think so because i never asked my babys
momma who came every week how long it took her
to get through the check in process
JM: What was the visiting environment like? Ron: It was so loud that we couldn't hear each other.
The deputies were always talking over the loud
speakers with announcements, etc. Candice: u call ahead to schedule an appointment and then you have to
be on time and bring your identification and get checke in to
visit and then you go through the metal detectors and down
the hall to the unit the person is in then you get to talk to them
through the pkastc window Cliff: in a booth with a glass between you and your
visitor. you had a chair to sit in they had a
chair to sit in and you both had to talk loud in
a little screen to hear each other because of
the noise in the other visiting booths. and they
were small
