Interview with Raymond, Brenda, Reta, Ronnie, Germz and Jimmy

JM: What clothes could you have brought in to wear in the jail (underwear, socks, etc.)?
Raymond: They give you those tops and bottoms made of jailhouse khaki. I was in green.
Brenda: Orange we had to wear orange shirt orange pants black work boots and the said CDC PRISONER on the back and down the front leg. leisure clothing was gray sweats and sweaters and white shirts white shoes
Reta: County clothing. Green pants with white top. Trustees could wear boots and jeans. Eventualy you'd be given the black and white stripe.
Ronnie: You got socks, a T-shirt, and pants and outer shirt. They were orange and grey.
Germz: you are not allowed to bring anything in the jail you are stripped out and everything is taken from you
Jimmy: None. I had to remove all my clothes, including my underwear when I was booked into the jail

JM: If you had a set uniform, what did it look like? Please be specific about each piece of clothing issued to you.
Raymond: Just what they gave you.
Brenda: We all dressed alike all in uniform
Reta: Just that black and white stripe uniform.
Ronnie: Just what they gave you. That's all you could wear.
Germz: you start with a dingey green t shirt and a pull over shirt then green stetch pants green underware and bright orange socks with a pair of flip flops
Jimmy: I was given briefs, baggy orange pants that were too large around the waist and a loose short sleeved shirt (also orange) made of woven cotton.

JM: Were there any assigned clothes in high demand that an inmate should look for when getting clothing assigned?
Raymond: Depending on the job. If you worked outside the would give you jeans.
Brenda: underwear they never have enough underwear especially if they are new. once they run out they give used underwear.
Reta: No there wasn't anything like that.
Ronnie: No. They would pass out thermals in the winter.
Germz: slightly baggy yet tight at the waist it will be easier to defend yourself
Jimmy: No. The only challenge was to be issued pants that were not so large that they were constantly falling off.

JM: Was the clothing different between men and women?
Raymond: Don't remember. I think, yellow.
Brenda: not in camp we all wore oranges.
Reta: The men had the same.
Ronnie: It was the same.
Germz: the women wore blue , the men wore green
Jimmy: I did not notice any difference. Presumably they were issued with bras.
