JM: What clothes could you have brought in to wear in the jail (underwear, socks, etc.)? Travis: You could not bring in any clothes. You would
have to wear their clothes or buy clothes off the
commissary (not the main clothes, only
socks/boxers/etc.). You could only bring in
things like glasses, contacts, etc. Grant: none ,no street clothes are allowed into the
facility at any time what so ever
JM: If you had a set uniform, what did it look like? Please be specific about each piece of clothing issued to you. Travis: There were rough pants and a rough outer shirt
which had to be worn outside the pod. There were
also sandals, and officially there were 2 boxers
and 2 shirts and 2 pairs of socks per person,
though some people had many more of these. Pod
workers had shoes. Grant: there was an either yellow or blue v necked
county shirt and an either yellow or blue pair of
bottoms with spandex waist line to match.a pair
of socks ,boxer short and rubber slip on sandals
JM: Were there any assigned clothes in high demand that an inmate should look for when getting clothing assigned? Travis: Not particularly, I think everyone received the
same clothing originally and I did not bother to
go to clothing exchange though if I did I thought
new boxers were important as they get dirty quick. Grant: try to get a good sweat shirt for the cold nights
JM: Was the clothing different between men and women? Travis: I do not think so. They looked the same from the
outside. Grant: no except for the under garments
