JM: What else would you want a friend or family member to know if they have a loved one going to this jail? Jen: Never plead No Contest and always know and
understand your charges. Find out what it will
take to file an appeal. Don't cause trouble in the
jail while your there. Never take in contraband
and never take part in the usage of any one else
who brings in contraband it can also lead to more
trouble for yourself while you are incarcerated;
especially in Tulare County where the law and time
stand in whatever favor they want it to stand.
Don't fight or have words with others, especially
the cops; it will only make things worse. Kelsey: Don't forget that they need to eat! Especially if
they are coming off drugs! The food nowadays are
disgusting! Put money on their books! Weekly they
can buy items. If possible take the total amount
you would give a month and divide it to put on
their books weekly. This was every week they can
eat something! WRITE! If you ever want to get
through to them, this is the time they will
listen...even if they seem like they aren't! Cody: If possible go bail them out. It is a miserable, disgusting, and
depressing experience. They will likely come out of it okay so don't
worry too much. But put some cash on your phone and go visit
them when you can.
JM: If somebody knows they will be serving time in this jail what is your advice to them? Jen: Stay clear of gang affiliation, and don't act bad
ass to the cops or other inmates. Treat others
with respect and they will return it to you. Kelsey: If you don't think you can do time....DON'T DO CRIME! Cody: Just lay low. Watch and observe and get try to get a feel for people
before interacting with them. Mind your own business, you didn't
see anything. And if you can read, read, read. It helps the time go
by..
JM: Please list any other jail or rehab facilities you have been to. Kelsey: Christian based rehab homes. Cody: None.
