JM: Did you get off early based on good behavior? Jen: Yes, I was released 100 days early. I had
requested to be released; I had kids at home and I
also had school that I was needing to attend to. Kelsey: In the beginning. Sure! Cody: No I did not. I was released on O.R. based on the court
proceedings.
JM: What is the most time off you can receive for good behavior? Jen: I am not sure. The county here seems to play by
their own rules and laws; this falls into all
legal matters. Kelsey: In county you get third off for good behavior and
also work time.... In the joint you get half time. Cody: I'm not sure. Tulare County is really overcrowded right now so any
sentence you get you only end up doing half the time.
JM: What types of actions do you need to avoid in order to get time off? Did you ever witness somebody losing time off for good behavior? Jen: fighting, participation in using of drugs or
tabacco or other contraband that might be brought
in from the street. Avoiding confrontation with
the officers on duty; with this in mind, if the
cops don'[t like you, you are in a world of shit.
They can and will make your time the worst it can
be while your on vaction Kelsey: Mind you biz and be a kiss butt! Do what you're told Cody: Don't fight, don't get caught with contraband, and especially don't
talk shit to the ego freak guards. There was one guy who was
already locked down 24/7 for fighting and he somehow got out of
his cell and started another fight. They moved him and I never saw
him again.
