Good Behavior

Interview with mitchell, Stewart, Adam, Jeffrey, Brent and Daryll

JM: Did you get off early based on good behavior?
mitchell: yea right we got like 5 days a month
Stewart: my sentence did not include jail time so after I was sentenced I was just sitting in limbo waiting for a.r.t to pick me up
Adam: No early behavior or days of for child support inmates
Jeffrey: no, my sentence had me released when I went to court and got probation so the time I sat counted for nothing
Brent: no. I was sentenced to state prison time so I fell under the state guide line
Daryll: my sentence did not have any jail sentence . I was givin probation but after I was sentenced I had to wait for A R T to come pick me up

JM: What is the most time off you can receive for good behavior?
mitchell: i think you have to do 80% of your time regardless of what you do
Stewart: I could receive none because of the terms of my sentence
Adam: the other guys where getting 5 days a month state time
Jeffrey: I think it was 5 days off per month but if you were a trustee you could get 10 days off a month
Brent: in the county it was 5 days off per month unless you were a trustee
Daryll: 5 days per month was deducted if you were sentenced

JM: What types of actions do you need to avoid in order to get time off? Did you ever witness somebody losing time off for good behavior?
mitchell: you just have to give the co's there respect be trustee join groups i cant remember everything
Stewart: they had a lot of rules to follow which I understand that but a good word to describe how the staff was is "petty", if they thought the tv was too loud they would shut it off and just randomly pick someone to put in confinement
Adam: I never witnessed anyone loosing time and like I said if you didn't follow one of the officers so called rules they can give you a dr and take time but from my understanding they can't take state time in county
Jeffrey: they had rules and you needed to follow them pretty strictly or you would get write ups and go to confinement and lose your good time, I witnessed a lot of guys getting write ups for stupid stuff like getting too loud in a card game
Brent: the officers in this particular jail were really petty about a bunch of stuff whether it was in the rules or not. I saw a guy get beat then sent to confinement because he accidentally bumped into him
Daryll: no fighting, even if you are defending your self which to me is ridiculous no excessive noise, no stealing and no dis respecting the officers
