JM: Did you have regular access to telephones?
Clarinda: Yes after 830am but before lockdown At
10pm sometimes 1030pm
JM: What types of charges applied for calling people? How much money would you guess the average inmate spends per week on phone calls?
Clarinda: Calls were$2+ don't remember the exact
amount.some inmates spent $40+ a
week.some spent more.i only called out
once or twice a DAY depending on my
mood that DAY.
JM: Did you need to buy phone cards to call out?
Clarinda: No all you had to do was set up calls thru
itt tele communication in order to call out.
JM: Did the jail screen your calls?
Clarinda: Yes they screened your calls well At least
that's what they said
