JM: How many meals did you get per day? Trisha: Breakfast, sack lunch, dinner. Jared: 3 a day and 2 in the weekends Lucia: recieved three meals per day.
JM: How would you rate the food? Please give details of why. Trisha: Not horrible. It's not something I would ever buy
but it is a 5 on a scale of 1-10. Jared: The food was terrible. There was no protein ever. Not enough
fruit and as needed. It was never on a set schedule always
twenty or thirty minutes difference. They had other inmates
feed you and they can't talk just work .the inmates are in the
kitchens and prep and cook all food.they get all the milk and
movies they want. Lucia: the first week i couldnt eat the food. i also was
sick and going through DT's. after that the split
pea soup and grilled cheese were my favorites.
along with the cake on sunday nights. i believe
the third friday of every month was hat we called
flying squirell. it was odd, half liked it half
didnt. mashed potatos were good.
JM: Did you have any favorite/least favorite meals? Trisha: Bologna sandwiches are least favorite, every day
for lunch. Favorite was the pbj on Saturdays. Jared: No there is no way I could have allowed myskef to to get used
to that terrible food it made me fucking sick Lucia: my favorite meal was toast ith scrambled eggs for
breakfast with salsa. lunch, grilled cheese and
split pea soup. dinner.... couldnt say.
JM: Were there any other snacks offered outside of meals? What was commissary like and how expensive was it? Trisha: Nope. Jared: It was very expensive . And they had the nerve to only sell
snacks no meat and noodle .something that can feed a men . It
was guard on the weekends if you had ninnon money on your
accounts. Lucia: the commissary was about the same price as a vending
machine, lay's chips products, candy bars,
clothing when needed. granola bars, soap shampoo
tooth powder. moon pies, honey buns, generic
brands of course. oh and decaf coffee and hot
chocolate.
