JM: What types of facilities were available to help pass the time? : They had one massage room and a swimming pool.
The diving board was broken while I was there, so
that was kinda lame. Viola: you could use the phone play cards color read
watch television do cross words write letters make
phone calls clean your bunk. myself, i read alot
and when i wasn't reading i used my toothpaste and
some books to make a collage the tooth paste is
used as glue .
JM: Did you have regular access to the entertainment or was competition fierce? Give details. Viola: I didn't want access to the entertainment but
yes competition was fierce. considering its a
federal holding facility some of the girls are
looking at years and some are looking at life i
figured out the ones looking at hard time got
off on trying to get you in trouble i don't
know if it was jealousy or what it was.
JM: Did you have a hard time staying in shape while in jail? Viola: i've never really been in shape but one thing we
did do was take turns holding a deck of card
walking around a table and laying a card down
every lap done.
JM: How often did you get to go outside? What did you do outside if you were allowed to? If you were not allowed to go outside what could you do for exercise? Viola: we were not allowed to go outside you could do
push ups sit ups you could walk a circle thats
about it well i guess you could run in place lol
JM: Did the jail offer church services? If so, what were they like and when were they held? Viola: there was and man and a woman that came so many
sundays a month and took the interested men and
women to a different room and a man and woman
from an area church come in give out little bibles
