Interview with Melanie
JM: Did you get off early based on good behavior?
Melanie: no I didn't get long enough time to get out early
JM: What is the most time off you can receive for good behavior?
Melanie: it depends on how long you get it is all
different if you are sentenced to so long and you
don't have a ged you can get I think it is up to
6 months off for that also for working but like I
said it is all different
JM: What types of actions do you need to avoid in order to get time off? Did you ever witness somebody losing time off for good behavior?
Melanie: doing drugs while in there, fighting, stealing,
smuggling stuff in, trying to fight the staff
which I seen a lot I also seen people stealing
things when there were getting out of the cell to
go clean trustee type position. not that I
remember
