JM: What types of facilities were available to help pass the time? Melanie: not much books, tv, a deck of cards if you could
afford them and sometimes a board game or puzzle
they were said to of had I think it was a
basketball court but I never seen it I got told
they only take the guys but we were supposed to
go outside once a day and I never went out
JM: Did you have regular access to the entertainment or was competition fierce? Give details. Melanie: huh if there wasn't a system set up that the
guards enforced then it was just ridiculous. put
it this way to avoid drama I never watched tv I
would read around a book a day about a 400 page
book a day but sleeping is the best thing to do
in there
JM: Did you have a hard time staying in shape while in jail? Melanie: the hardest thing you could ever try and do
because there is nothing to do but eat and there
is also literally no room with all of the people
JM: How often did you get to go outside? What did you do outside if you were allowed to? If you were not allowed to go outside what could you do for exercise? Melanie: never went out and I was there in the summer, for
exercise well walk around in the cell do push ups
and sit ups and just learn to use the bit of
stuff you have
JM: Did the jail offer church services? If so, what were they like and when were they held? Melanie: I don't know if so I was asleep when they were
offered I don't go to church outside so I don't
get that "jail house religion" to make myself
look better like a lot of people try to do
