Interview with Lowell and Ray

JM: How often could you receive visitors?
Lowell: I could get visitors every weekend, saturday and sunday only. no visitors during the week.
Ray: Every other weekend. it went by your last name which weekend your family could visit.

JM: Was the check-in process lengthy for those who came to see you?
Lowell: Yes iit was a long wait to get in. they had to sit in a waiting room after they filled out all kind of a paperwork. they also had to go through metal detectors.
Ray: Yes very annoying. They had to fill out paperwork first time they came. then the lines were so long and if you had to bring a package you had more stuff to fill out adn then the metal detectors were a pain to get through if you had the wrong type of clothes on. it was very frustrating for them.

JM: What was the visiting environment like?
Lowell: The place was usually dirty. It was also very loud and little kids crying. Sometimes it was very boring nohting to do. there were some games like cards or board games but got boring after a while. it would be either cold or hot and very stuffy sinc there were no windows. it was just nice to get out of the cell.
Ray: I somewhat enjoyed it. I liek to see my family and get out of my cell. My family disliked it. We couldnt hug and kiss liek we wanted to. Also there were people trying to have sex and when my kids came on a visit it was a big concern since they were little at the time.
