Visitor Policy

Interview with Charles and Nick

JM: How often could you receive visitors?
Charles: Your family would have to arrange a visit. They would schedule on the weekends based on your last name. Saturdays for A through M. Sundays for the others.
Nick: Saturday's, and Sunday's only, 1 each day and visitation was time was by pods.

JM: Was the check-in process lengthy for those who came to see you?
Charles: About 15 minutes.
Nick: Absolutely;they must be there 30 minutes prior,if your name was not on the list there was no entry,if you were late by 1 minute visitation was refused, visitors were brought in first and waited as inmates made their way.

JM: What was the visiting environment like?
Charles: Glass walls with phones. Just like you would expect to see.
Nick: Terrible, a Plexiglas window separates you and your visitor holes are drilled in the glass for hearing. The glass is high enough that you almost have to stand to talk, this is not allowed, and you have 20 people in a small room all talking at once.
