Interview with Jen, Karen and Will

JM: What clothes could you have brought in to wear in the jail (underwear, socks, etc.)?
Jen: stripes, black and white or red and white if you were a problem inmate
Karen: You could keep your socks, underwear and one shirt but it all had to be white. Your bra could not have underwire in it.
Will: Normally socks, underwear and plain white t- shirtes or long johns. I could wear anything except that disgusting suicide gown.

JM: If you had a set uniform, what did it look like? Please be specific about each piece of clothing issued to you.
Jen: same as above
Karen: We were issued orange elastic waist pants similar to scrubs and an orange v-neck short sleeve shirt. We were also issued a pair of rubber shower shoes and it didn't matter if they fit or not.
Will: Black and white stripes for the misdeneanors and red and whit for the felons

JM: Were there any assigned clothes in high demand that an inmate should look for when getting clothing assigned?
Jen: no everyone wore the same thing
Karen: No there was not anything that was in high demand.
Will: no

JM: Was the clothing different between men and women?
Jen: no
Karen: The clothing was different. The men had orange jumpsuits while the women had a top and a bottom.
Will: no
