Interview with Ruth

JM: How many meals did you get per day?
Ruth: 3

JM: How would you rate the food? Please give details of why.
Ruth: 3 1/2 It was food. Nutritional I doubt that. except for the bean day. We had bologna every day at lunch at Avalon and 4 out of 7 days at EWCC. HCCC I would give a better grade as I worked in the Dept. of Public Safety Kitchen so breakfast, lunch and dinner was better than on campus so to speak.

JM: Did you have any favorite/least favorite meals?
Ruth: Least BEANS!!! and BOLOGNA!!! fave would have to be if I had to pick one, spaghetti night.

JM: Were there any other snacks offered outside of meals? What was commissary like and how expensive was it?
Ruth: no offered snacks. Canteen well if you had the money you would never have to visit the kitchen but seriously who could afford that? NOT ME! Some did though.
