Interview with Ruth

JM: Tell us about the pre-sentencing process:
Ruth: I was a drug court failure but ultimately revocated because I said F&^$ Drug Court and DA over heard me.

JM: Did you have police stop by your house for questioning? If not please give us details on how you came to be arrested.
Ruth: I purchased drugs from a manager at work and I worked the graveyard shift where we were locked in the store, he was only one allowed to leave as he had keys. I acquired the drugs from him proceeded to bathroom to consume them. When I was leaving the facilities I was met by Claremore police Dept. and asked if I had just did drugs. I answered yes and was also asked if I was dealing drugs through the drive-thru. I am/was an addict not a dealer and was arrested for poss. of cds and paraphernalia.

JM: What was court like? Please give as many details as you recall.
Ruth: Long, tiringprocess. Money for lawyer, classes, fines, court costs.

JM: What were your original charges? What did you end up being convicted of?
Ruth: Poss. of CDS and paraphernalia. I was charged in 2006 convicted in 2009 and 2010 of same charge.
