JM: What clothes could you have brought in to wear in the jail (underwear, socks, etc.)? Tara: a bra, as long as it did not have an underwire, and
the underwear you walked in with. All your other
clothes, sans the bra were confiscated, bagged, and
returned upon discharge. Greg: Wow in the rehab side of prison I was able to use might
wear my street clothes and my sneakers and stuff like that Don: You can buy boxers and socks and you can buy
shoes and bob barkers they are shower shoes
JM: If you had a set uniform, what did it look like? Please be specific about each piece of clothing issued to you. Tara: brown shirt, short sleeves, buton down. Brown
pants with elastic waste.3 pairs of white socks
that were falling apart, and u3 pair underwear
that was too big. If you had more than the alloted
amount in your cell, security matrons would take
it away and tell you you could only have a two day
supply at any given time. Greg: When you are the full tres inside you would have been on
tour yellow one piece swimsuit that you had the where in
exchange of your street clothes Don: A bright yellow jump suit. And shower shoes. a
pair of boxers. That is it and as long as u had
regular sneakers on when u got locked up u can
keep them.
JM: Were there any assigned clothes in high demand that an inmate should look for when getting clothing assigned? Tara: clothes that FIT! and towels without stains and
holes.men had sane, but green
the goal was uniformity, and ill fitting clothes so
as to not encourage neither the men or women from
finding attractions to eah other.
Greg: Nothing in particular that I can recall that was in high
demand Don: No its all the same u just try to get a jumper
that is not 5 sizes to big or to small
JM: Was the clothing different between men and women? Tara: not really, it was polyster drab green
Greg: We all had to wear a one piece jumpsuit I think they might
have been different colors Don: yes women where a bright red jump suit
