JM: How often could you receive visitors? Tara: every 2 weeks, I chose not to have any visitors as
it was a depressing place to be.
Greg: I was able to get visitors couple times a week and had a
pretty good access to my visitors Don: There are 4 days a week a visitor could come. But
they can come as much as they want on the certain
days
JM: Was the check-in process lengthy for those who came to see you? Tara: First present identification, then be subjected to a
search of both your possessins and your person. Then
present visitor pass prominently on your clothing.
Allow to be escorted to a room where a gaurd stood
outside listening and watching to be sure that no
one touched you in any way Greg: The check in process is pretty easy for your visitors it went
pretty smoothly pretty fast for them they got in and out
pretty quickly Don: yes. first they have to be on your visiting list
our they cant get in. Then they give the guard
there ID to make sure they don't have warrants
and they a pat down a medal detector
JM: What was the visiting environment like? Tara: cold, impersonal and the staff acted like people
were always trying to get away with something. no
touching!!!There was no privacy, the room
furnishings were uncomfortable and
antiquated.Children were admonished to keep
silent, to not hug or otherwise touch their loved
ones. It was not an environment conducive to the
improvement of the inmates well being.
Greg: Losing your mind it was pretty good pretty good because it
was nice out we could all visit outside at the picnic tables it
is cold and raining when we can visit in the runs There is
plenty of room for every got pretty good time I wish I
would've rather had more time of my visit is Blues in
England pretty nice so is pretty smooth Don: Just like a school cafeteria tables and chairs.
and some vending machines. Your family could
bring in food for you. Gray walls and a yellow
floor. There are cameras and guards everywhere.
It is good to see your family and friends but it
is really hard when they have to leave.
