Interview with Chris

JM: What clothes could you have brought in to wear in the jail (underwear, socks, etc.)?
Chris: We had jump suits that we had to wear when was was at the facility. Those of us that had outside jobs with some of them we got to wear regular street clothes while at work, but had to be changed within 30 mins. after getting back to the facility.

JM: If you had a set uniform, what did it look like? Please be specific about each piece of clothing issued to you.
Chris: Yes, at the main jail it was a orange top and pants along with shower shoes unless you bought shoes off of canteen. At the work release facility it was a dark green top and pants and you was able to wear regular tennis shoes if you had them once you got a job whether the job was on the streets or in the jail.

JM: Were there any assigned clothes in high demand that an inmate should look for when getting clothing assigned?
Chris: No, not any that I was aware of.

JM: Was the clothing different between men and women?
Chris: Yes, the women had the same colors with the exception the women had striped uniforms. At the main jail they was orange and white striped and at the work release facility they was green and white striped.
