JM: Did you find it difficult to get along with other inmates? Please give examples to explain why you did or didn't. Lois: At times there were inmates that would try to
start a fight just for the hell of it. When you
find yourself in such a situation it's very
important to try and get the first punch in.
Normally a fight between two butt holes starts and
ends with the first punch. There are guys who get
put in jail and they get into a fight on purpose
so they will get sent to "maximum" because they
don't want to be near anyone and they would rather
be alone. In general tho I thought that I tried to
get along with everyone
JM: What types of things did you have to do to avoid problems or fights with other inmates? Lois: Deductive reasoning. There are times when it was
easy to get the other inmates into a conscience
state of mind to where they are not worried about
anything and thus you have done some preventative
Innovation by making the people around you feel
like they are ok and all is well. To bring a sense
of peace with in the minds of the men around you.
There were times when I just didn't want to fool
with it and then I'd just get into my bed and get
under the blanket
JM: Were you able to choose an inmate as your cellmate if you knew one? How often would your cellmate(s) change? Lois: The cell mates who made up my immediate
surroundings was constantly changing because there
were always different people coming into the cell
on the weekends. There is no questions about it,
Campbell County is a place where people do a lot
of partying on the weekends
