Good Behavior

Interview with Todd, Katie and Burl

JM: Did you get off early based on good behavior?
Todd: Yep. I had an inside tip that engaging in any type of physical fight is an automatic felony. I shared this info with fellow inmates. I am also an aikido instructor/practioner with 25 yrs. experience.
Katie: No...this was not an issue. I have been told that for certain crimes individuals can get off for good behavior though.
Burl: No good behavior did not apply in my case because I caught a new charge

JM: What is the most time off you can receive for good behavior?
Todd: I have no idea, sorry. Ten or twenty days?
Katie: Wasn't part of my sentence, therefore, I would not know how this works or is implemented.
Burl: It depends on your charge you could see any where to days off months even years

JM: What types of actions do you need to avoid in order to get time off? Did you ever witness somebody losing time off for good behavior?
Todd: Simply follow the rules outlined in the jail handbook. It was pointed out to me from the get go that denying knowledge of the rules was neither an excuse nor a defense.
Katie: Wasn't part of my sentence, therefore, I would not know how this works or is implemented. I have been told though that you can have extra time added to your sentence for bad behavior.
Burl: No I did not. Everybody I knew kept doing what they were doing trying to get out early nobody really wants to mess that up.
