Visitor Policy

Interview with Todd, Katie and Burl

JM: How often could you receive visitors?
Todd: You could receive a visit twice a week.
Katie: Wasn't there long enough. However, have been told that you can get up to two visits a week during there afternoon and evening visitation hours.
Burl: you could get vist twice a week for a hour and sometime depending on your behavior and how busy things were you got two hours

JM: Was the check-in process lengthy for those who came to see you?
Todd: I asked and my visitors did not seem to think the check in was lengthy
Katie: Wasn't there long enough to answer this question. However, I have been a person who has went to visit past inmates and felt like the check in process was not long at all. Just depends on the amount of people there to visit is where your time can get lengthy.
Burl: No they just had to sign there name and wait until the ceo came and got us forvist. But you have to make ssure they are on time or you will lose your vist

JM: What was the visiting environment like?
Todd: The visiting environment was like the zoo reversed.
Katie: As a past visitor as I wasn't there long enough to have visitors, I felt it was very creepy...inmates in the back climbing the jail poles esp. in the old jail. Very loud environment. It was very disruptive and didn't like visitation time at all. In the newer jail it was more closed and quiet visiting atmosphere.
Burl: A big room with glass around and cameras. A whole bunch of charis more like little cubicles one door to go out one door to come in. Men and women are seperated as well and you do not get contact vists all vists are done through a tv montior and two phones
