Medications

Interview with Todd, Katie and Burl

JM: Did you always have access to necessary medications?
Todd: I think medications came to the block three times per day, so yes I did, but I merely needed blood pressure medication once per day.
Katie: Yes, but no...they took down the medications that I was on and put an order through the pharmacy which I was billed for them, however, when it was time to get my medicine they gave it to another person in my block as they got our names mixed up...there were 2 Brendas
Burl: No the nursee will come by 3 times

JM: How did you get your medications?
Todd: Medications were dispensed by a nurse with a cart three times per day.
Katie: I didn't because there was another Brenda in my block she ended up getting my medicine and when I complained it took forever to get a complaint slip..and it never got worked out for the period of time I was incarcerated.
Burl: The nurse will come. And bring the medications to you but first they have to be approved by the jail docotr

JM: What types of punishments were incurred for abuse of drugs? Did you ever witness this?
Todd: I have no idea. Did not experience nor hear of any such thing.
Katie: None that I saw. No. I know that if you were found with illegal drugs you could have time put on your sentence or put in solitaire.
Burl: I did not witness that but from what I hear they got extra charges and they got more time and more charges
