Visitor Policy

Interview with Jerry and Pat

JM: How often could you receive visitors?
Jerry: Visits are twice a week for 30 minutes each. You are separated by glass and talk over a live phone.
Pat: every visiting time unless you lost your visits which was twice a week a 1 hour visit and one 2 hour visit.

JM: Was the check-in process lengthy for those who came to see you?
Jerry: The process is very easy but any attitude will sometimes result in your loved one not being called to visiting because the visitor was being a nuisance. They do it all the time so be nice when you are visiting!
Pat: No they had to bring there I.D and wait for the cops to bring us down to a window and the visiting lady was always real polite to my visitors

JM: What was the visiting environment like?
Jerry: Visiting is whatever you make of it. of course you are dressed in jail outfit and everything is white and sterile. It's going to be very sad your first time visiting a loved one so be prepared. There are going to be people laughing, crying, smiling but keep your clothes one because the guards are watching!
Pat: A long line of cubicles probably about 25 seats sperated by glass on all 3 sides the front the left and the right and a telephone we talked to our visitor on it was usually pretty nast in there people spit on the glass and the phones always stinky but it was better than nothing
