Sentencing

Interview with Stacy, Ron and Tom

JM: How long was your sentencing for?
Stacy: The judge sentenced me for two weeks (15 days)
Ron: I was not sentanced because the charges were dropped.
Tom: It was the three years of probation.

JM: Did you spend time in a holding cell after your sentencing? If so, what was that like? If you didn't where did they they take you instead?
Stacy: No when I checked myself in I went straight in the padded room alone, because I had attempted suicide a week before I had to check myself in. I had to sleep on a gross mattress on the floor with no blanket, sheet, pillow, nothing. I was not allowed toothbrush, razor, anything. had a toilet and thats all, they put my meals on the floor by the door. The front of the cell was glass or something so they could monitor you 24/7, and had cameras watching. I had to spend my first 3 days there before they moved me to a pod, but the pods were full so they had several women on the floors in the middle of the pod instead of cells.
Ron: I spent time in the general population, medium security pod. I was held there awaiting trial for 2 months. That is all. That is all. That is all. That is all.
Tom: No, I didn't. After being sentenced I went to another building to filled some forms, waited for a counselor, filled some more forms, as well as read the curfew restrictions, who to contact for my probation officer, and the fines to balanced.
