Interview with Katrina, Rachel, Graham, Gordon, Marcus, Melissa and Andrea
JM: Did you always have access to necessary medications? Katrina: not fast you have to see the doctor which takes
about 2-3months and its hard to get them to give
you anything for a headache or any other issue its
a struggle in there to get anything Rachel: No,they didnt give me my meds for my high blood
pressure.anxiety, headache or anything Graham: No. You had to put in a request every time. Gordon: No, I did not at all. Marcus: The med cart went along with picking up your
meal in line, and there was a night nurse. I had
to buy my i.b.pruffen at a verry high cost on
commissary I remember. Melissa: No. I had a migraine and asked about the process to get ibuprofen.
Realistically, it would have been 3-4 days later, if at all. Pointless. Andrea: Didn't apply
JM: How did you get your medications? Katrina: a nurse comes in the am and the pm for medication
call and the people that take meds line up Rachel: Didnt get them Graham: They would come by twice daily. Once in the morning and
once at night. They'd bring a little cart around. Gordon: You would place a request for medical into a
box, and if you were lucky you would see a nurse
a week later. Marcus: I got my sleeping medication when the nightly
nurse came around on his or her 4th trip a day
or people got their meds with their meal. Melissa: I did not. Andrea: Didn't apply
JM: What types of punishments were incurred for abuse of drugs? Did you ever witness this? Katrina: disciplinary lock down whatever they see fit. Rachel: Dont know Graham: If you got caught it was a write up and straight to the hole. I did
witness one of my friends get in trouble for it. Gordon: Yes, I witnessed many people try to "cheek'
their medication. The ones that were caught went
directly to the hole (unless they were a jail
house plant trying to find out information on
others to 'snitch" on). Marcus: I'm sure charges were filed if you were caught
with drugs, but I never witnessed this and there
were never any situations I knew of. It was in
fact a very clean jail. Melissa: I didn't see anything like this. Andrea: I didn't see this.
