Interview with Katrina, Rachel, Graham, Gordon, Marcus, Melissa and Andrea
JM: How long was your sentencing for? Katrina: 2 years county jail Rachel: Year of probation Graham: I was sentenced to 4 years prison. Gordon: 9 years in CDOC with a 2 year mandatory Parole
as a tail. For an 11 year calculation. Marcus: 50 hours community service and time served. Melissa: No sentence. Andrea: No sentence, case was dismissed without merit, because it was a
false warrant.
JM: Did you spend time in a holding cell after your sentencing? If so, what was that like? If you didn't where did they they take you instead? Katrina: yes I did and it was very cold and they keep you
handcuffed while your in there there sometimes in
a toilet but never any toliet paper. Rachel: Yes.it was trivling, stinky, filthy, not intented for humans.i
wouldnt wish that pn my worst enemy Graham: Yes I did. They pack you back into the same cell and
they don't care if your hungry or not. they will
ignore you even if you ask them for food. Gordon: I went back to my cell assignment. I went back

an hour or two then was brought back to jail
where i waited in another holding cell fo 7
hours to get an n.c.i.c. ran and was then
released Melissa: The holding cells that I was in were for Booking on the way into the
jail and while being held for transfer. The "BullPen" holding cell for
transfer was freezing but cleaner, had a private bathroom. I was
here in my own clothes for approximately 12 hours awaiting
transfer. The booking holding cells are filthy, filled with ants, there
was old food from days before littered around, the toilet is in the
open, and they were overcrowded to the point of 15 girls laying
sideways on the floor on filthy mats, tripping over each other if
anyone had to move. The "Mats" are not issued to each inmate, so
imagine the germs on those. You get ONE blanket. If you are
lucky, they'll toss you a "Brown Bag' meal of a roll, mystery meat,
and an orange. No drink. Andrea: The holding cells in Arapahoe are filthy, crawling with ants and
overstuffed. I was held in "The Bullpen" from 9pm - 4:30am while
awaiting release, then in a TINY holding cell at the release area from
4:30am-11am until processed for release. These cells are
disgusting, unclean, unfit for humans.
