Interview with Jared, Bree, George, Sherry and Timothy
JM: Did you get off early based on good behavior? Jared: no, its hard to stay out of trouble..you wake up
each day and wonder if today is the day you will
get raped or jumped for no reason Bree: yes i got a total of 35 days off my sentence George: yes i did 165 out of 180 days sentence for it. Sherry: Yes I completed a rehab program while
incarcerated and as of completion I was released
two days early. Timothy: Yes, if you don't get a DR (disciplinary report), you get 5 extra days
a month for good behavior. So i was sentenced to 90 days, did 75.
JM: What is the most time off you can receive for good behavior? Jared: about 3 months a year Bree: it all depends, you get 2 days off every week that
your a trustee George: You have to do 85 percent of your sentence. Sherry: If I remember correctly its three days a month. Timothy: 5 days a month normally for good behavior, if your a trustee (jail
worker) you get 5 extra days a month, so the max is 10 days per
month.
JM: What types of actions do you need to avoid in order to get time off? Did you ever witness somebody losing time off for good behavior? Jared: you need to work hard, stay out of the day rooms
and dont stand out Bree: you just need to kiss the officers butt and do what
they tell you to. they treat trustees alot better
then the regular inmates. i seen someone lose all of
there time because of jelly packets George: Avoid any and all confrontations. You only respond
when someone puts their hands on you.Inmates will
get whats called a DR discipline refferal and so
many of them will wipe out any good time. Sherry: You can become a trustee which is someone who is
in jail but works in the jail. makes food does
laundry ect. However any time gained can always
be taken away. Timothy: Basically anything morally wrong, no stealing, fighting, any kind of
illegal stuff will get you a DR. I have witnessed multiple people
getting in trouble for various things, contraband, fights, ect..
