JM: Did you find it difficult to get along with other inmates? Please give examples to explain why you did or didn't. Clara: not at all. i kept to myself so no one really
bothered me. Carlos: Depending on you classification, yeah you might
have trouble.
Oscar: Yes to most as there are a lot of horrible people
in jail and prisons. However some where okay and
had an education like me. But not many. I can not
answer this any further as I don't know the
procedures for this out come as I had always been
in custody Lori: Most inmates kept to themselves which is what I
did as well.
JM: What types of things did you have to do to avoid problems or fights with other inmates? Clara: i didnt have any problems with other inmates. since
i had never been to the jail before everyone helped
me out. Carlos: Stick to yourself. You're going to run into people
you know because all anybody does around here is
get arrested. Oscar: Just keep to myself and defend myself so they
wouldn't try me, as I am very different then most
of them. I can not answer this any further as I
don't know the procedures for this out come as I
had always been in custody and am not sure what
you want to know else. Lori: As long as you kept to yourself and didn't go out
of your way to cause problems, you were fine.
JM: Were you able to choose an inmate as your cellmate if you knew one? How often would your cellmate(s) change? Clara: no Carlos: No. You go where they put you. Oscar: No. I can not answer this any further as I don't
know the procedures for this out come as I had
always been in custody and am not sure what you
want to know else. Lori: No, they assigned cellmates based on their own
criteria. Seemed that they placed inmates in cells
based on order of arrival.
