Medications

Interview with Kandra and Paul

JM: Did you always have access to necessary medications?
Kandra: Yes, in my case I always had access to the necessary medications.
Paul: i have hiv so i get preferintial treatment

JM: How did you get your medications?
Kandra: There is a nurse that comes around to each of the dorms (at Fulton County). Someone shouts "medication" and all those who know that they receive medication come front and center.
Paul: a daily visit to the med center unless i had a health issue, then i would submit a written request for a visit to the health department

JM: What types of punishments were incurred for abuse of drugs? Did you ever witness this?
Kandra: I do not know of any punishments for abuse of drugs. Its likely that the jailers do not know if this happens or not. However, there were other inmates who would ask for my medications.
Paul: the inmate was removed from population and put in special housing and given another charge and given a one peice uniform to identify them, and yes i have seen this happen
