Interview with Cody and Nicole

JM: What clothes could you have brought in to wear in the jail (underwear, socks, etc.)?
Cody: Just a blue cotton jumpsuit that says Winnebago County Jail on the back. They also issue you underwear. You have to buy socks from commissary. Only the trustees and the people who work in the pods get shoes. Everyone else gets sandals.
Nicole: You could not bring in any clothes in the jail. They gave you disposable underwear, and if you had a white sports bra, they usually let you keep that and you could keep socks.

JM: If you had a set uniform, what did it look like? Please be specific about each piece of clothing issued to you.
Cody: See above
Nicole: The uniforms depended on the seriousness of your case. General uniforms were green scrub type looking and they said the facility name on the back of them.

JM: Were there any assigned clothes in high demand that an inmate should look for when getting clothing assigned?
Cody: No.
Nicole: There was assigned clothing to people on maximum hold or high security, instead of wearing green they would wear yellow or orange.

JM: Was the clothing different between men and women?
Cody: No, its the same.
Nicole: Men and women all wore the same thing.
