Interview with Mathew
JM: What clothes could you have brought in to wear in the jail (underwear, socks, etc.)?
Mathew: You could order a cotton T shirt off
commissary. They issued everyone dark blue
nylon jumpsuits. They gave you one pair of
boxers and you could only wear the socks you
had, or you could order them off commissary.
JM: If you had a set uniform, what did it look like? Please be specific about each piece of clothing issued to you.
Mathew: See above.
JM: Were there any assigned clothes in high demand that an inmate should look for when getting clothing assigned?
Mathew: When a guy was getting out he would usually
leave his t-shirt to somebody.
JM: Was the clothing different between men and women?
Mathew: The women wear a different color. I think they
have stripes on them. Its either pink or orange
or something.
