JM: What types of facilities were available to help pass the time? Terri: I witnessed the other girls watch television, they
talked about y were able to walk outside in a
small space located in center of jail. They also
read books, wrote letters, drew on drawing paper,
and played cards. I also believe they played jail
made board games they designed themselves.
JM: Did you have regular access to the entertainment or was competition fierce? Give details. Terri: Because I was a new person, no I did not get any
access to entertainment. They, like I said, had
their set ways in which shows, movies and other
activities were done and they were very atoment
about the schedule in which this was operated
on.Even the pod deputy knew their routine and
assisted in keeping to it.
JM: Did you have a hard time staying in shape while in jail? Terri: Not at all. I was not there long enough to make
that big of a difference to my normal figure.
JM: How often did you get to go outside? What did you do outside if you were allowed to? If you were not allowed to go outside what could you do for exercise? Terri: I personally did not get to experience the outdoor
exercise time due to severe weather that was
occuring outside. However I was told that on a
normal basis, they were allowed 1 hour outdoors
regularly.
JM: Did the jail offer church services? If so, what were they like and when were they held? Terri: Yes. If you signed up 2 weeks in advance, and were
approved by the sergeant, you were allowed to
attend church and other organizational meetings. I
did not attend any of these for I was not there
long enough, therefore I do not knoiw where they
were held.
