Interview with Brandon and Lydia
JM: How long was your sentencing for?
Brandon: Sentencing carried a maximum of 3 years but I
received 8 months.
Lydia: The total length of my sentence was 180 days.
JM: Did you spend time in a holding cell after your sentencing? If so, what was that like? If you didn't where did they they take you instead?
Brandon: Yes nearly everyone is placed in a holding cell
upon receiving a sentence its standard and for
some reason it takes just as long as it would
when you are first arrested you would think that it
would be a little quicker since your information is
already in the system.
Lydia: Fucking unpleasant. I sat in a cell with numerous
of individuals that wouldn't stop complaining and
calling on the correctional officers to perform
menial task and the constant question of people
asking when can they be released.
