JM: Did you have regular access to telephones?
Wade: Yah pay phones when you weren't locked in
Casey: No, there were specific hours for payphones, located in the public area.

JM: What types of charges applied for calling people? How much money would you guess the average inmate spends per week on phone calls?
Wade: It cost like 5 bucks a call witch your people need to prepay people could spend like 50 a week to call every day
Casey: I think it was $0.85 per minute? Anyway, I'd guess our families spent about $100 per week at least.

JM: Did you need to buy phone cards to call out?
Wade: Your people set up an account
Casey: No, my grandmother set up an account with the provider. Telenet?

JM: Did the jail screen your calls?
Wade: Yes your calls were always monitored
Casey: Yes, they screened my calls
