Closing Advice

Interview with Clinton and Brooke

JM: What else would you want a friend or family member to know if they have a loved one going to this jail?
Clinton: Be there for whoever you know in jail, but also carry on with your life. The only thing that people have on the inside is time with their thoughts. Its going to cause them more stress on the inside if loved ones aren't ok on the outside.
Brooke: That you can easily pick up a disease there. Easily. It is scary and dirty and ugly and nothing is worth spending your time there. Nothing at all. I would rather die than live my life there.

JM: If somebody knows they will be serving time in this jail what is your advice to them?
Clinton: Just what I said earlier, just have common sense and have some etiquette and overall you should be fine. It is a terrible jail compared to other jails. Its going to suck but just tough through it.
Brooke: Take white long johns because it is cold. Have money on commissary ready because you dont want to have to use that soap. Wash everywhere you go..if you can keep a rag with you. WIPE the phone down before you use it. It has been known for people to tag you when sleeping..they stick their finger in their vagina and then into your mouth when you are sleeping.

JM: Please list any other jail or rehab facilities you have been to.
Clinton: CPI- Rehab Pontiac- Private Rehab Quarantine for Department of Corrections Cotton Correctional Facility in Jackson SAI
Brooke: Community mental health and Ingahm county youth center.
