Good Behavior

Interview with Clinton and Brooke

JM: Did you get off early based on good behavior?
Clinton: The way it works at Ingham County is that when they give you a release date, your good time is already figured in. If you have any kind of disciplinary action you can lose your good time.
Brooke: No. I did not get out early based on good behavior.

JM: What is the most time off you can receive for good behavior?
Clinton: If you become a trustee which involves a lot of work, they will give you a day for a day. You can literally get your time cut in half. For basic good time I think it might be a day off for every week served.
Brooke: 5 good days for every thirty served.

JM: What types of actions do you need to avoid in order to get time off? Did you ever witness somebody losing time off for good behavior?
Clinton: Avoid any disciplinary action.
Brooke: You must avoid fights. You must avoid loud behavior in the pods. You must take any meds given to you on time. You must sleep when they say sleep. You must not waste food.
