Interview with Lily, padilla and Dawn

JM: Did you find it difficult to get along with other inmates? Please give examples to explain why you did or didn't.
Lily: not at all
padilla: No
Dawn: No I got along with all of the inmates. I minded my own business while I was there. there was some arguments between other inmates but i was able to avoid confrontation. I was able to get along with all of the women that came and went.

JM: What types of things did you have to do to avoid problems or fights with other inmates?
Lily: stay quiet and mind my business
padilla: No
Dawn: Had to keep my mouth shut really. If there was confrontations I didn't feel the need to fuel the fire like some of the women in there did. There wasn't a lot of problems with the women in there majority of us got along pretty well. we played cards, read books, built puzzles.

JM: Were you able to choose an inmate as your cellmate if you knew one? How often would your cellmate(s) change?
Lily: yes!
padilla: No
Dawn: no I didn't get to choose. i ended up sharing a cell with a woman who snored like a man so i eventually asked if I could be transferred into the general area.
