JM: How long was your sentencing for? Katy: I got 30 days for the theft. I did 46 days on
the conspiracy charge before I was released on
bond. I also got 5 years probation for the
felony. 1 1/2 years of that was intense
probation where I had to be in by 6:00pm, I had
to go to the CRT class 4 days a week for 6
months and I had to have to have a full time job
or be looking for one. Sarah: I was sentenced to 4 180 day sentences, not
concurrent, to complete an "in-house" drug
program, 4 years Intensice Supervised Probation,
and approximately $2,000 restitution. Laura: I received 4 months for the misdemeanors, I was
sent to rehab for my burglaries since I did it for
drugs, I'm currently on my 3rd year of my 5 year
probation sentence too, I also had 40 hours of
community service for the misdemeanors, 250 hours
of community service for the felonies, and 30,000
restitution
JM: Did you spend time in a holding cell after your sentencing? If so, what was that like? If you didn't where did they they take you instead? Katy: I never spent time in a holding cell. They took
me straight back to population. Sarah: I was taken back to the holding cell in the court
until all individuals had been seen. I was then
taken to the booking holding tank in the jail
until they were able to place me in a pod. Laura: Yes you have to wait in a holding cell after
sentencing. It is TERRIBLE! Other girls are
waiting to go to court too, we are all shackled
and handcuffed with belly belts, in a cold cold
room, you have to get a CO to unlock your hands if
you want to go to the bathroom, depending on the
CO you may not even get to go to the bathroom
