Interview with April, Julie, Brenda, Cesar and Eddie
JM: Did you get off early based on good behavior? April: You can but I personally did not. I got time
served Julie: no. dui offenses carry a mandatory minimum sentence
in Pa. Brenda: Not at all. I had to serve my entire sentence. I
always thought there was no good behavior time
credit in the state of Pennsylvania. Cesar: No i never maxed a prison sentencing cause i
never was sentenced a prison term .i got sent up
state or rehab . Eddie: Yes I Was suppose to serve a minimum of one year
and ended up getting out in 9 1/2 months.
JM: What is the most time off you can receive for good behavior? April: 4 days a month it depends on the judge Julie: no good time for dui Brenda: There is no good behavior in Pennsylvania. Cesar: im guessing two months maybe ??? Eddie: 1/4 of your original sentence
JM: What types of actions do you need to avoid in order to get time off? Did you ever witness somebody losing time off for good behavior? April: Getting in fights or anything that could send
you to the hole. They give you extra time
sometimes. Yes I've seen people lose their
dates. Julie: yes i saw lots of girls' get out early for good
time. They had to remain write up free, complete so
much of their sentence, and petition their judge. Brenda: The only thing was upstate at SCI Cambridge
Springs. If you didn't get any misconducts you
were in better standings with parole. This would
give you a better advantage leaving on your
minimum date. Cesar: yeah a lot of people get time off for good
behavior you just have to keep your nose clean .
stay out the hole and be a role model to get less
time which is always good . Eddie: You cannot receive write ups or get sent to the
hole for fighting, or bad behavior. I saw multiple
inmates lose good time due to getting sent to the
hole for fighting.
