Closing Advice

Interview with Sarah, Drew and Paul

JM: What else would you want a friend or family member to know if they have a loved one going to this jail?
Sarah: It takes a long time to go to court and your loved one needs you to put money on their books.
Drew: Give them money it dont matter what they did if you love them and you care about them money is what we need if they have there own shit you don't have to go to someone to borrow and have to pay an outrageous tax and the food is nasty
Paul: Most people when first hear that a loved one is going to prison immediatly think that they are going to get jumped or raped. Its not like that, now with the prison rape elimination act (PREA) fighting is the worse thing to worry about. My best advice would be just to keep your head down, if you mind your own business and stay out of the mix you will be fine.

JM: If somebody knows they will be serving time in this jail what is your advice to them?
Sarah: I guess just to be calm and be positive. It makes your time go faster.
Drew: Take a new pair of socks take a , new pair of underwair couse you don't want to free all in another nigga pants every body don't shore everyday and get to money
Paul: watch were you walk and learn how to talk to the guards. The guards can be very helpfull or not, its all in the way you treat them.

JM: Please list any other jail or rehab facilities you have been to.
Sarah: Cook County, Illinois Lee County, Illinois Ogle County, Illinois Winnebago, Illinois Whiteside, Illinois Carol, Illinois Houston Atlanta
Drew: Dominguez state jail , glossbrenner unit , garza west
Paul: Substance Abuse Treatment facility in edinburgh texas, Garza West and Garza East in Bvile texas, Ferguson unit in Midway texas, Venus pre release in Venus texas
