Visitor Policy

Interview with Burt, Daniel, David and Donald

JM: How often could you receive visitors?
Burt: 3 times a week
Daniel: 2 visits a week for 20 minutes.
David: Every weekend we could have a vistor but only 3 times a month.
Donald: You could receive visitors one time a week. Usually on Saturdays or Sundays. Thanks a lot.

JM: Was the check-in process lengthy for those who came to see you?
Burt: yes they said they would be waiting for almost an hour before they would see me
Daniel: Not really, just sign in and wait for them to call you. I think the longest my wife waited was an hour. But not anything like strip searches or drug dogs patrolling, all visits were through a glass anyways.
David: About an hour.
Donald: Nobody came to see me while in there. So I have no idea how long or short the check-in process was or was not. Thanks

JM: What was the visiting environment like?
Burt: 1-2 long walkways with booths seating about 12- 15 per side, some though had visits through tv screen. and some had contact visits.
Daniel: It was through a steel wall with plexiglass and a phone. Only 20 minutes, it was better than nothing.
David: We had contact visitation in the officers dining room which just means it was an open space. Everyone was there at once.
