Inmates

Interview with Eric, Bonnie, Jerome, Big Kim and Josh

JM: Did you find it difficult to get along with other inmates? Please give examples to explain why you did or didn't.
Eric: No,most of them are petty criminals or just stupid kids that made mistakes. Plus when I was a juvenile I did spend quite a bit of time in juvenile facilities so I can walk the walk if I have to.
Bonnie: Yes, they had a black woman who fought with me and picked on me. We got into a scuffle. I had to defend myself with a mop handle I was using to clean with broken in half.
Jerome: NO
Big Kim: In general no, like other said mind your own business.... But H*ll yes, I was taken to the Hole more than once.. One needs to remember they are elbow to elbow with many people of different cultures, intelligence and mental impairments...If someone keeps on pushing you, fight them if it comes to that, most fights rarely last over 30 seconds then the guards are on top of it.. and then you will have your own personal cell isolated form troublemakers...
Josh: no i spent mst of my time reading anything i could get my hands on or playing games

JM: What types of things did you have to do to avoid problems or fights with other inmates?
Eric: Nothing, mind your business and it'll be ok I promise.
Bonnie: Try to get along and bite my tongue when wanting to argue back with others.
Jerome: MIND YOUR OWN BUSINESS
Big Kim: Mind your own business, befriend others who are not queer..
Josh: nothing specal i guess

JM: Were you able to choose an inmate as your cellmate if you knew one? How often would your cellmate(s) change?
Eric: NO
Bonnie: Yes.
Jerome: NO
Josh: i didnt know anyone going in
