Interview with Mish, Sally, Pace, Baby, Jamie, Gerard, Jessica, Manuel, Raella, LKai, Josie, George, Terry and Miles
JM: How often could you receive visitors? Mish: 3 times a week Sally: ONCE A DAY ON FRIDAY, SATURDAY AND SUNDAY Pace: 0. did not want them. Baby: I never got my call to let my husband and children
know where I was so they had a missing person
report out on me and since orange county drag on
my booking imput everyone thought I was dead. Till
I bailed out with the money I had on me.I will
have to up date you on the next time. Jamie: fridays saturdays and sundays and some holidays Gerard: In Orange County, you can only get visitors
Friday through Sunday for about 30 minutes per
day. At Musick, you can actually sit across a
table from your family which is nice because you
get to hug them, kiss them and hold their hands. Jessica: Friday, Saturday and Sunday Manuel: friday saturday and sunday Raella: once a day friday, sat, and sun LKai: Once every Friday/Sat/Sun. Josie: dont know George: I could receive them on Saturdays and Sundays, one
visit per day for a half hour. Terry: INMATES CAN GET VISITS UP TO TWICE A WEEK, ON
DIFFERENT DAYS, SOME FACILITIES ON GOOD BEHAVIOR
THREE. Miles: I wanna say twice a week for 30 minutes each time,
but that might not be accurate.
JM: Was the check-in process lengthy for those who came to see you? Mish: No it was very quick Sally: YES SOMETIMES WHEN IT WAS CROWDED SOMETIMES A 2
HOUR WAIT Pace: it is extremely lengthy. I have been there. Baby: Not sure yet heard it is check in 2 3 hour hours
ahead of time then you lucky if you get a 30 min
visit I will soon see. Jamie: sometimes Gerard: I'm not sure. Jessica: Sometimes Manuel: like an hour Raella: not too bad LKai: I'm not sure. George: My son said it wasn't that lengthy or that bad at
all, while my wife said it was horribly long. We
really never figured out how to arrange the visits
so they didn't occur when other inmate visits
occured. Terry: THE CHECK IN FOR VISITORS CAN BE LONG ON THOSE
DESIRED VISIT DAYS LIKE WEEKENDS, BUT USUALLY THEY
HAVE TO BE THERE 15 MINUTES BEFORE CHECK IN AND THAT
15 MINUTES BEFORE THE ACTUAL VISIT, SO AT THE LEAST
30 MINUTE WAIT WITH OUT A LINE. Miles: The check-in process was lengthy for my visitors.
It was not uncommon for them to wait up to two
hours before being allowed to see me.
JM: What was the visiting environment like? Mish: It wasn't bad. There is contact visits so we got to
hug and kiss before and after the visit Sally: LOUD AND THROUGH A GLASS NO PHYSICAL CONTACT Pace: miserable for the adults and worse for the
children. Baby: Well I seen my bail bondsman in one 1 1/2 block of
glass and a phone that did work Jamie: for me ok guess Gerard: Big room with maybe around 30 inmates with their
various family members and spouses. No kids
allowed (I think). Deputies are usually pretty
easy-going in the room. Jessica: Crowded Manuel: very tense no touching allow all is done threw a
glass window Raella: nice, I could hear my mom very well and we had at
least a half hour, if not more, to talk. LKai: It was decent. You get a little section to talk to
your party via phone. George: It was a row of cubicle like tables in three
hallways back to back. There was a glass
partition between me and my wife (or sons) and I
spoke through a telephone to them. I could not
hand anything to them nor could they hand anything
to me. I did sneak pencils with me so I could
write down important information. Terry: IN EVERY FACILITY VISITATION WAS DIFFERENT. IN MAIN
JAIL IT WAS A BOOTH WITH GLASS BETWEEN AND A PHONE,
HORIZON WAS IN THE SAME ROOM WITH A TABLE IN
BETWEEN, YOU COULD ACTUAL TOUCH THEM. NOW ALL
VISITATION IN ALL AREAS IS THE SAME...A PHONE AND TV
VIDEO FOR YOU AND THEM, ALMOST LIKE WEB CAM CHAT. Miles: Crowded and loud, and restricted. You had to sit
across from each other at a table, and you could
not touch. Touching was not a big deal to me
because my friends visited and I had no girlfriend
at the time, but I see how no touching could be a
problem.
