JM: What types of facilities were available to help pass the time? Rosa: Library, gym, aa and na meetings..also they have
school..ged, culinary, cosmetology. TV room,
board games, cards, not anything to exciting
mostly left to our own devices. We had tiny
outside area where we could walk in circles lol
or play basketball or sit at tables..bored all
the time mostly. jail is not fun
JM: Did you have regular access to the entertainment or was competition fierce? Give details. Rosa: If you got in TV room right away you could pick
something to watch..most chanells were on our
not allowed to watch list but if you had a
somewhat ok co they wouldn't mind. Library and
gym you had to sign up for and if you weren't
first in line when they called for sign up you
weren't going.
JM: Did you have a hard time staying in shape while in jail? Rosa: Yes I did have a hard time. I gained over 10 lbs
in four months. We don't have excersice
equipment in the gym and the food is so
processed impossible not to get fat
JM: How often did you get to go outside? What did you do outside if you were allowed to? If you were not allowed to go outside what could you do for exercise? Rosa: We could go outside everyday 2-3 times a day.
Mostly everyone just walked around the perimiter
trying to get as much walking in as possible.
JM: Did the jail offer church services? If so, what were they like and when were they held? Rosa: I never went to the church services. They did
have them on Sunday morning at i'm guessing a
church? don't know
