Interview with Rosa

JM: How many meals did you get per day?
Rosa: 3 meals a day..if you want to call them meals

JM: How would you rate the food? Please give details of why.
Rosa: the food was not food. they put protien pellets in the food to fill us up so they didn't have to feed us as much. it was all processed nasty food. called slop..really are we animals? and the co's referred to it as chow time! very degrading. i wouldn't even rate it as food

JM: Did you have any favorite/least favorite meals?
Rosa: i did love the spice cake we had for breakfast..hated the fried bologna..yuck also hated the grits and oatmeal..overcooked hard boiled eggs

JM: Were there any other snacks offered outside of meals? What was commissary like and how expensive was it?
Rosa: no snacks outside of meals unless you had commissary..lots of little debbie cakes and snickers, twix bars..peanut butter..nothing healthy or good for you. crackers, bagels also. it was very expensive, but a lot of people in my cell we all shared when we could
