Interview with Jennifer, Robert, Kathleen, Holly, Damon and Wade

JM: What else would you want a friend or family member to know if they have a loved one going to this jail?
Jennifer: I would want them to know that it is very hard in the jail for the inmates. To send them enough money for the week so they dont have to eat that nasty food and to have money on your phone because it gets very lonely in there and you do need to hear from the outside world.
Robert: to be nice to them and have money on your phone for them to call you and put money on there commissary. just be there for them because its hard in jail.
Kathleen: That jail is not fool or cool. It sucks to have someone to tell you what to always do. It sucks to have to wait for everything and not have any privacy. I would say stay far away as you can .
Holly: Just keep them in your prayers stay in contact with them like writing and talking on the phone and putting money on there books.and send under clothes cause you don't get any in jail.
Damon: if you ever go to towson , just mind you own business and stay to yourself. don't act like your not going to eat the food because no matter what , you will.
Wade: Avoid legal ramifications as much as you can. No action is worth spending time in jail with sexual predators and murderers. Although jail is not as terrible as depicted on the cinema, being in jail ruins your reputation and depending on the crime can stick with and stigmatize you for the rest of your life.

JM: If somebody knows they will be serving time in this jail what is your advice to them?
Jennifer: My advice to them is to keep to yourself. have people on the outside to send you money and so you can call them your going to need people on the outside to talk to and go to the meetings and gym so you can get out of the cell block.
Robert: to put money on your commissary, were the right clothes to go to jail in like a white t-shit and socks because its cold in there. you should be fine.
Kathleen: To keep your cool get a job stay to yourself and work . That's the easiest way to do your time stay out of trouble and get out on time .
Holly: My advice to them would be too stay to themselves just do what you are supposed to,chill and stay to yourself and you will be fine like be polite speak if spoken too and that's it.
Damon: get yourself ready. memorize phone numbers and get used to spending long periods of time thinking.figure out some things you would like to plan while your in jail , because you have plenty of time on your hands.
Wade: Be real but dont act afraid. This is not a very tough jail and so long as you act friendly to a degree you will not face problems, these are not very hardened criminals.

JM: Please list any other jail or rehab facilities you have been to.
Jennifer: I have only been to that jail and I went to a treatment center in california.
Robert: none.
Kathleen: None
Holly: N\A my first offense
Damon: mountain manor rehab ( outpatient) Baltimore city detention center
Wade: I have been to no other facilities.
