Interview with Ron, Amber and Debra

JM: How often could you receive visitors?
Ron: Twice per week.
Amber: due to mental problems that I have I was in the Psych Unit So I wasnt able to have visitors
Debra: I could see visitors twice a week. each visit time was a 1/2 hour time period.

JM: Was the check-in process lengthy for those who came to see you?
Ron: Yes, at times my visitors had to wait for an hour or more in the main jail. In the annex it was never more than a few minutes.
Amber: Not applicable.
Debra: Sometimes the process was a bit lengthy for my visitors, family/friends, sometimes came to visit me and had to endure a check in. Most of the time they were quick though.

JM: What was the visiting environment like?
Ron: Glass window with a telephone you have to talk on. It was super depressing for both visitor and inmate.
Amber: Not applicable.
Debra: The environment was alright. We had to talk through phones and was separated by glass. Sometimes it was really noisy talking to people because of many people trying to all have a conversation at once. That's pretty understandable though in that kind of visiting situation and many different people coming in and out.
