Interview with Chad

JM: Tell us about the pre-sentencing process:
Chad: i was in jail for almaost a year when i got my plea which was 3.5 to 8 years with probation available i sign that day and was release on ancle braclet i got sentence months later when i was sentence they gave me paper work off all rules i had to fallow they took my braclet off

JM: Did you have police stop by your house for questioning? If not please give us details on how you came to be arrested.
Chad: The firts time they got me at my house took me too police headquaters question me i told them my story then was release 3 weeks later i was at work when my girlfriend called me an to me that officers were looking for i called the officer told them i will turn my self in i later turn my self in.

JM: What was court like? Please give as many details as you recall.
Chad: Court was hell they will wake us up at 12:00 am takes us in the showers strip search us give us clean clothes chacle us take us to the hallway leave us there for 30minutes search us takes us to a bigger hallway where they had all inmates that were going to court searht us again then call us by name to get in the bus the buss will take us to madison jail we will get there around 2 get off to buss into the building in the hallway they will search us then split us innto different holding cells holding cells will be full nowere to sit with one toilet then around 5 or 6 they will takes us to anathere holding cell that about 3 open cells with no mattress the place was belive to be condem some time we will see rats and roeches they will give us bread an penut butter from there they will kal you up to court you will have to walk about a half a mile thru a underground tunnel to anather holding cell then from there to court one you get to court you just want to go back to you cell becuase you havent slept allnight you dnt want to talk to tha judge cuase your not in a right state of mind than you go thru dat hole proccess just to go back to your pod..

JM: What were your original charges? What did you end up being convicted of?
Chad: FOUR COUNTS OF THREAT OR INTIMIDATING CLASS 3 FELONY ONE COUNT OF ASSISTING IN A CRIMINAL STREET GANG CLASS 3 FELONY I WAS COVICTED OF THREAT OR INTIMIDATING CLASS 3 FELONY
