JM: How many different blocks were there? Luis: No blocks in the annex just bunks and
cages for solitary
confinement. Scott: I was never quite sure how many there were i was in
so that probably mean around 10 or so like i said
i'm not sure
JM: Did they have names? If so, what were they? Luis: Solitary was the cage. In the main jail
they had a pod b pod
etc. G pod was called the gladiator pod.
Scott: J pod K pod and so on they were all letters
JM: Which types of inmates were housed in the different blocks? Luis: A pod was for murders and other harsh
crimes. I think g pod
was for child molesters but I don't
remember. Some of the
other pods were just for regular inmates
and k pod was for the
woman. Scott: you had your prison offenders and violators and you
had your first termers and there were the trustee
tanks for the sentenced non violent and then there
was the hole and the special housing for the super
violent
JM: What do you remember being the nicest and worst parts about the different blocks? Luis: I was never in the blocks but I heard they
had riots a lot and
got shot with pepper spray paintball
guns. The annex was nice
because we could walk around freely and
could watch TV until
lock down. To be in the annex though we
had jobs we had to
do. I was stuck in the kitchen and didn't
like it. Scott: the lock i was in as a joke the inmates all
clowned the officers and treated them like shit
but they were allowed to attend church everyday
the tv was a constant so there was always
something to do it was clean an you were expected
to follow the 10 to 10 rule and that is from from
10 pm till 10 am you were to remain in your cell
and no talking or making any kind of noise if you
violated that rule you got dealt with
